A few random Christmas photos

These couple of pictures don't really fit into a certain event, but just wanted to put them up here to remember the memories!

While we were in Missouri, we tried to visit my grandma (Boone's great grandma) at her nursing home as much as we could. She (and all the residents) were always so happy to see Boone.

Jeff tagged along with us this time.

Boone realized he loved combing people's hair and Grandma
was so sweet to let him comb hers.

For the few weeks we spent with Jeff at his corporate apartment in KC, we tried to keep busy with holiday activities. This was the night Boone and Jeff made their first ever gingerbread house.
Boy, was it a hit!

So excited to be with his daddy!

The construction begins.

Jeff is quite good with the gingerbread houses.

Helping dad with the candy.

Skyping with Grandma and Grandpa Robertson to show them the house.

All finished.

They are so proud!

My parents came up to Kansas City for the weekend since they wouldn't be coming there for Jeff's annual district meeting like they usually do each year. We took them to Union Station to check out the train exhibit and Christmas tree. It was our second time there in a few weeks, but Boone still loved it.

Playing trains

The Union Station Christmas tree lit up at night. It was really beautiful there for the holidays.

Our family in front of the tree. As you can see to the right of me, it was a popular place for people to come and take pictures!

Pre- and Post-Wedding Festivities

In November, our friends Brett and Casey got married in St. Louis. It was wonderful to get to witness their wedding and have lots of dear friends from college come to town for the wedding!

Before the wedding on Saturday, we had some time so we all decided to take a tour at the Budweiser brewery not far from the hotel. I took a few photos while we were on the tour!

I don't exactly remember what was going on here, but Jeff was sticking something in Stauffer's pocket... Pretty typical for these former roommates.

Checking out the Clydesdales outside. They really are huge and really beautiful.

Green Valley house missing a few roommates.

After the wedding, our families came to St. Louis on Sunday morning to all have breakfast together. We ended up going to the restaurant in the lobby of the hotel where we stayed and it worked out pretty well.

Beaty and Jeff playing with Boone's toys.

Looking at pictures of the wedding.

And lots of chatting...

And Boone got to be around both sets of grandparents! He is definitely a loved and spoiled little boy!

I didn't lug my good camera along with me to the wedding, so I only have a few photos on my phone from the actual event and for some reason, I can't get them to load right now. Hopefully I can update the post with a few more from the actual, beautiful wedding! Congrats Casey and Brett! We are so happy for you and so glad we all could get together for it!

Touring the Fulton Fire House

Bear with me as we bounce around a bit between locations! Boone and I usually would spend a week or so in St. Louis and then head to Fulton for a week. On the weekends, we would see Jeff wherever made the most sense! So, while we were in Fulton, my friend Kelly and her sons Cooper (Boone's age) and Hudson (born last June) came to visit and play. Jeff's dad, Bruce, made a few calls and got us a tour at the fire house so the boys could see the fire trucks!

We toured the bunk houses and the boys got a little snoopy.

Checking out the trucks in the garage.

Boone loved all the freebies.

Trying on the boots!

Bruce and Boone checking out Rescue Randy (the CPR dummy!)

You can't really tell, but I had to jump in the truck to get Boone to climb inside.

Books before bedtime.

We stayed pretty busy with visiting family in Missouri. We loved the opportunity to spend so much quality time with family since it is a rare thing with how far away we have lived.

More Nomad Life... in St. Louis!

Around Halloween, we spent some time in St. Louis. We attended my a Harvest Party at my parent's church and it brought back a lot of memories growing up and going there for Harvest Party myself! Boone actually wore a dinosaur costume I wore when I was two years old and my mom made it, so it has held up really well! Boone had a blast playing all the games and he didn't really get the whole candy thing yet, so the games were really the fun part for him.

Sharing candy with Dora.

He loved the bounce house they had set up for the younger kiddos.

And he loved the big bounce house with the slide. He must have gone on it 10 times.

Look at that face!

Boone with his Uncle John and John's girlfriend, Katie. It was such a warm weekend in St. Louis and Boone was sweating in his costume.

Playing golf

Checking out the petting zoo

All tired and ready to head home to Nana and Papa's house.

A week later, we trick-or-treated on actual Halloween. It was quite a bit colder than the weekend before, so the dinosaur costume worked out a bit better.

At Creve Coeur city hall for their trunk or treat.

Hanging out with the police.

We stopped at the Younkins for trick-or-treating. Boone was their only visitor!

Later that weekend, our former neighbor Johan came to visit. Him and his family used to live next door until they moved back to South Africa (where they were originally from.) It was so great to see him, we missed seeing his wife and girls though.

I jumped in a picture too!

Johan in front of his old house. Lots of good memories with his family!

Boone and Uncle John. I thought this was a good picture!

Happy Halloween!... only 4 months late :)
