Easter in the Mountains

For Easter weekend, we joined Jeff's aunt and uncle at their cabin in southern Colorado. It was still pretty chilly up in the mountains, but we had a great time getting out of the city and seeing their place.

The outside of the cabin.
They just redid the kitchen and living room area and it looks beautiful.

They just purchased a new Jeep, so we loaded up and
went on a drive around the area.

There's a closed down ski resort in the area. There are still condos that people stay in, but the ski area isn't in operation because they never got enough snow consistently.

At the top of Cuchara Pass.

Boone was happy to cruise around in his car seat since it was forward-facing.

Boone checking out his loot on Easter morning.
This was the first year he could actually get excited.

Reading the Easter story with Boone. What a blessing it is to be able to start to
share the salvation story with Boone.

We planned to watch an Easter service online because there weren't any churches close by, but the internet connection was sort of spotty. Even without traditional Easter church, we had such a great time celebrating with family. We are forever thankful for Easter and the gift of salvation that God gave through sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins!
